Stancija Mirka is situated on Istria, the biggest Croatian peninsula. The villa is on the top of the peninsula opposite the island of Brijuni. It is only 2km from the coast. The coast is layered with flat, stony areas and grit bays. Due to the clean waters it is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. In the picturesque, hilly landscape along the coast there are many small, Mediterranean towns and touristic places. The estate provides also a private golf putting green.
The port-town of Pula is nearby and offers, apart from a Roman amphitheatre and a triumphal arch, wonderful, neo-classical hotels, officer villas, baths, theatres and a shipyard. Over the next 20 years, Pula will become the mundane centre of the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy. Many famous people have visited the island of Brijuni, which provides also an elitist climate sanitarium.
