The beautiful Frègate Island Private is situated east of Mahé on the Seychelles. You can reach the island, which has its own private landing strip, in 20 minutes by helicopter or airplane.
The luxury resort complies with the strictest environmental requirements and is a small paradise with 16 exclusive villas. The people, who come here, await luxury, security and remoteness. Bananas grow here as well as passion fruits, carambolas and juicy papayas. This is not only a pretty sight, but also very practical – almost the entire demand on fruits and vegetables is met by those grown on the island. Wander around and enjoy the variety of colours, shapes and flavours. You will not only find vanilla plants here, but also coffee plants, intensively coloured cashew apples with a cashew nut at their end and a large number of coconut palm trees.
The island is the home of one of the rarest bird species in the world. Besides, it has the second-largest herd of Aldabra-turtles in the world.
Frègate Island Private is the only resort on the homonymous island. There are 16 villas, which accommodate a maximum number of 40 guests. The architecture mirrors Thai and Balinese influences.
Fourteen of the villas are situated on the cliffs and offer a breathtaking panoramic view over the Indian Ocean. The two other villas are hidden in their own tropical gardens and are ideal for families with children. Each villa fits harmoniously into the surrounding landscape and provides ultimate privacy and tranquillity.
