The villa La Fattoria is an elegant and luxurious Umbrian farmhouse with a wonderful hill-top position close to the Tuscan border. The property, which has been renovated recently to a very high standard, is a comfortable holiday home with lots of character. The villa is situated on the peak of a 440 acre country estate and offers breathtaking views over the hills and valleys towards Orvieto and Tuscany. The estate has a long history. The tower, which originates from the 13th century, was used as a Customs post for the border between Tuscany and Umbria. The other buildings were constructed in the 17th century. Moreover, the villa was used as a summer residence by the Pope during the 18th century. The buildings were renovated to a very high standard; however, the Original design of the farm buildings was maintained and high-quality, naturall materials were used.
There are eight En-suite bedrooms, which are arranged over two buildings, with a nice courtyard in the middle. There are many living areas, as well as a snooker room with a bar in the main building. Besides, there is a spacious dining room, which is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious Tuscan meal, prepared with organic products from the estate including wine and olive oil. The property also provides a heated infinity pool from where you can enjoy stunning views over the hills and valleys below. There is also a roofed gazebo, which is an ideal spot for Outdoor dining. The property is situated next to the 3750 acre Nature Reserve Monte Rufeno.
