In the 14th century Petrarch advocated the country estate as a place of rest and relaxation. The villa, which is situated close to the town Lucca, was built in 1729 and was used as a summer retreat for the nobility.
The estate with its vineyards and olive groves still produces its own wine and olive oil. In the last years the villa has been beautifully renovated. With its warm and comfortable interior in an elegant, Tuscan style and with many antiques it offers an excellent holiday domicile.
