The Owners Cottage is situated on a sunny plateau above the Waikato River. Isolated from the rest of the Lodge, it was built already in 1937. It is a beautiful, private retreat with a stunning view over the river.
In the Owners Cottage you enjoy luxury with 4 exclusive bedrooms, a wonderful lounge with dining area and fireplace as well as a large terrace. In the courtyard there is another fireplace. Also Queen Elizabeth spent a holiday here. If you enjoy company, you will always find someone for a nice conversation in the lounge.
In the Main House there is a comfortable lounge, where you can sit at the crackling fireplace and take a drink before dinner. Each evening the menu with a new 5-course dinner is presented.
Usually you have dinner in the Huka Lodge together with the other guests. However, there is also a spacious dining area in the Owner’s Cottage. Moreover, you can also have dinner in the wine cellar, or directly at the river or in the Trophy room on the first floor of the Main House… There are numerous opportunities and the personnel will anticipate all your wishes.
