The Lodge is a luxury chalet for alpine sports enthusiasts, which was opened by the multi-Entrepreneur Richard Branson in January 2008.
It provides 9 bedrooms, which accommodate up to 18 adults and 6 children.
The impressive holiday domicile is situated in idyllic woodland in the Swiss Alps, only 250m from the main ski-lift and a 5 minute walk from the town of Verbier, which is one of the most exclusive alpine destinations and one of the most popular skiing regions in Europe. The extensive ground of the estate borders directly on one of the ski-runs. The Lodge offers ideal conditions for both, winter- and summer sport enthusiasts. The beautiful chalet provides everything sportsmen, adventurers and epicures might desire: Ski-, bike- and hiking tours, horseback riding-excursions, free-climbing and paragliding courses. Helicopter-skiing. Indoor- and outdoor Jacuzzis, a private tennis court, a crocket turf, a mini ice rink, a climbing wall, a spa area, wine tasting, golf excursions and live music (once per week). In addition, there are excursions to Lake Geneva with water sports facilities, shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants, night clubs and a lot more. The surrounding area offers many other recreational activities.
The food at the Lodge is certainly one of the highlights of your stay. The meals are prepared according to your personal wishes. You can either inform the chef in advance, what you would like to eat, or you just wait and see. The Lodge provides an enormous variety of exquisite meals and drinks. If you have special requests, you should inform the staff in advance. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are included for guests. On the free day of the kitchen chef the daily routine is business as usual – except for the dinner. On this evening, guests can dine in a restaurant of their choice in Verbier. We can make a reservation if desired. However, the expenses for the dinner pay the guests themselves. In the summer it is also possible to enjoy a midday buffet on the terrace. There is a big selection of international wines, first-class spirits, various sorts of beer and of course the house-champagne, which is included for guests.
